About Me
Hi, I am Traci.
I started my work as Mentor and Coach of the Resilient Spirit Collective to help others navigate who they are as they learn to let go of patterns, beliefs, and ways of being that no longer serve their greatest purpose.
This is usually the part where I talk about my degrees and letters following my name to ensure that I have the credentials to call myself a healer, mentor, or life coach, (even though I technically don't have to have any.)
This is the origin story of my Resilient Spirit and why I am driven to share the knowledge and insight derived from emotional neglect, trauma, therapy, family, school, work environments, business ownership, alcoholism, marriage, motherhood neurotypical and atypical children (though I think we're all a little neurofunky), and through countless hours of research, (it's my coping skill) and more formalized education and training.
I am a licensed psychotherapist in private practice in Connecticut. I've been a guest speaker/trainer at Central Connecticut State University Marriage & Family Therapy classes, Connecticut Coalition for Children, School Districts, and Improv for Therapists (Rehearsals For Growth) Conference. I'm best known for workshops on Taming Your Inner Critic and Mindfulness and Polyvagal Theory.
I have extensive experience with diverse populations and bring a trauma-informed perspective to presenting, teaching, coaching, and therapy. My experiences as a psychotherapist working with women give me the insight and understanding to help you with goal setting, motivation, and managing underlying issues that may challenge your ability to live the life you long for.
This is your life. I want you to live it well.
Because "psychotherapist" is a fundamental part of who I am, my knowledge and approach inform my coaching practice. However, while there's overlap, there are distinct differences between coaching and therapy. Behavioral health insurance doesn't cover coaching, nor is it included in your medical records. Coaching is a jumping-off point to greater self-awareness of the who, what, and why's of your life and is not intended to replace psychotherapy.
